WAEC has released the first series 2026 CB WASSCE Results.

Philips News reports that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2026 First Series.

In a statement published on the micro-blogging site, X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, March 27, 2026, the West African Examination Council announced that candidates who sat for the examination can access their results within 12 hours.

The examination body noted that the timely release of the results reflects its commitment to improving service delivery through the adoption of technology and efficient examination processes.

WAEC also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their support in ensuring the successful conduct of the examination.

“The result of CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2026–First Series has been released. Candidates can access their results within the next 12 hours.

“Our thanks to all stakeholders for cooperating with us to achieve this feat.”

Meanwhile, PhilipsNews reports that the CB-WASSCE, which is conducted for private candidates, is part of WAEC’s efforts to modernize examination systems and enhance the experience for candidates through computer-based testing.

How to check 2026 CB WASSCE results:

Candidates are advised to check their results via the official WAEC platforms once they become available.

Steps to Check 2026 WAEC Result
  • Visit the Website: Go to the WAEC Result Checker Portal.
  • Enter Details:
    • Examination Number: Enter your 10-digit number (7-digit center number + 3-digit candidate number).
    • Examination Year: Select 2026.
    • Examination Type: Select “Private Candidate” (or “School Candidate” if applicable).
    • PIN/Serial Number: Enter the PIN and Serial Number from your result checker card.
  • Submit: Click the “Submit” button to display your results. 
Alternative Methods
  • SMS: You can check your result by sending an SMS to 32327 (only available to Nigerian candidates), format: WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear.
  • Digital Certificate: Following the results check, you can access your digital certificate on the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform.
