1. The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has again increased the gantry price of petrol and diesel, further tightening pressure on consumers and businesses across Nigeria. A top official at the refinery confirmed the development on Tuesday night. He said the facility adjusted its pricing in response to prevailing international crude oil benchmarks and market realities.

2. Nigerian Army has dismissed allegations by a former soldier, Rotimi Olamilekan, that personnel purchase their uniforms and protective equipment with personal funds. In a statement issued on Tuesday by its Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Appolonia Anele, the Army described the claims as false and misleading, insisting that troops are adequately equipped and catered for.

3. The Yobe State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with separate violent incidents that claimed two lives in Damaturu, the state capital. The incidents were linked to youth restiveness, substance abuse, and avoidable disputes.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, said one of the cases involved a fatal attack in the Bindigari Primary School area.

4. A windstorm that struck Nyanya, Abuja, on Tuesday damaged parts of the Kugbo Bus Terminal, causing minor damages to the pedestrian bridge and some nearby buildings. The storm occurred during heavy rainfall earlier in the day. 5. Kano State House of Assembly has withdrawn impeachment proceedings against former Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, following his resignation from office. The decision was announced during plenary on Tuesday after the House resumed from its Sallah recess. Speaker Jibril Falgore presided over the session

6. Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has accused Nafiu Bala, factional chairman of the party, of working against democracy. In an interview with DCL Hausa, on Tuesday, Kwankwaso said he had invited Bala so as to resolve the crisis amicably, but Bala refused to show up.

7. Bandits have invaded the Baga community in Shiroro local government of Niger state and ended up killing five villagers. One hundred and fifty villagers were alsoabducted after setting several houses in the villages ablaze. A reliable source from the community said the gunmen, besides being armed with sophisticated weapons, also used bombs.

8. The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Zuru is dead. A press statement issued by Murtala Diri, an official of the Kebbi State House of Assembly on his official Facebook page confirmed Zuru’s death.

9. A new faction within the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has surfaced, distancing itself from the coalition led by David Mark and the group associated with Nafiu Bala. The faction, led by Don Norman Obinna, claims to represent the legitimate National Executive Committee, NEC of the party and said it is intervening to manage party affairs ahead of the next national convention.

10. The Lagos State Police Command has detained several officers following allegations that members of its Anti-Cultism Squad harassed youths and confiscated their mobile phones at the Ojuelegba Underbridge. The incident, which reportedly occurred on Monday night, came to public attention after a social media user @ejylemykel1 raised concerns about the conduct of the officers involved.
