Popular SPAR shopping mall is currently on fire.
Philips News reports that a fire outbreak is currently raging at SPAR, a popular shopping outlet in Calabar, Cross River State, southern Nigeria, this Saturday morning, August 22, 2026.
This newspaper understands that the SPAR shopping mall fire, which reportedly started inside the shopping outlet, has sent thick smoke billowing across the city, while fierce flames can be seen from Barracks Road, about 100 yards away from the scene.
Firefighters reportedly arrived and are working to put out the raging flames.
