Atiku Abubakar has revealed when he will stop campaigning for the Presidency.
Philips News reports that the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has said the 2027 general election will be his last attempt at the Presidency.
This newspaper understands that Atiku disclosed this during an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday evening, April 15, 2026.
“This (2027) will be my last shot. The stakes are higher, because I believe that would be my last chance,” Atiku said.
Meanwhile, PhilipsNews reports that the former Vice President had contested the presidential election several times but failed.
Atiku was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 general elections.
