Favour Benson, Executive Director of Jashabel Touch-A-Heart Foundation, has strongly condemned the disturbing reports of sexual violence against women and girls in Ozoro, Delta State.

She described the incident as deeply troubling and unacceptable, stressing that no culture, festival, or tradition should ever be used as a cover for abuse, fear, or violation.

According to her, women and girls deserve to feel safe everywhere and at all times, without exception.

Favour Benson reaffirmed that JTAH Foundation stands firmly with survivors, calling for full accountability, justice for victims, and stronger protective measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.

She further emphasized the urgent need for collective action, noting that silence only fuels continued violence.

“Silence enables violence. Speak up. Act now. End SGBV,” she stated.
