Senate President Akpabio has revealed when insecurity in Nigeria will stop.
Philips News reports that the President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has stated that the deteriorating security situation in the country would be over in two weeks after the forthcoming general elections.
This newspaper understands that Senator Akpabio spoke on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the official launch of the Nigerian Revenue Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The Senate President said President Bola Tinubu is performing so well, and those opposed to him do not know what to do but to instigate violence and sponsor insecurity.
Akpabio said, “Insecurity is increasing because elections are coming, because people don’t know what to do again.
“Immediately after the election, two weeks after the election, insecurity will stop. The insecurity is being sponsored by people”.
Meanwhile, PhilipsNews reports that the insecurity in Nigeria took another turn for the worse recently, with some military commanders and several soldiers paying the supreme price.
On Monday, President Tinubu met behind closed doors with service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Tunji Disu.
