Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been sacked.
Philips News reports that English Premier League giants Liverpool have decided to part ways with manager Arne Slot, only a few days after the Premier League season ended.
This newspaper understands that Liverpool, under Arne Slot, failed to defend their title and finished in fifth place, qualifying for the Champions League.
Slot is set to be replaced by former Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola; this was revealed on the micro-blogging site, X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday afternoon by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano wrote: “ARNE SLOT AND LIVERPOOL TO PART WAYS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
“It’s over between the Dutch manager and Liverpool after the end of the season review.
“Andoni Iraola, clear favourite to take over as next #LFC head coach.”
