A popular actress has died 4 days before her birthday.
Philips News reports that a popular Ghanaian actress and media personality, Beverly Afaglo is dead.
The death of the popular actress was confirmed in an emotional tribute on Sunday, May 24, 2026, by her husband, Eugene Kwadwo Baah.
In a message shared on social media, the grieving musician described the late actress as the foundation of his life and happiness.
“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife, Beverly Afaglo. It would have been just like four more days to your birthday, but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you so He called you. You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever,” he wrote
Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster, also revealed the deep emotional impact of her passing, saying he could still hear her voice encouraging him as she always did.
“I am hearing your voice right now, cheering me up as always, my number one fan. I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever. Sleep well, my babe,” he added.
Describing her as a “legend,” the musician said her death marked a painful moment not only for him but for countless admirers and colleagues within the entertainment community.
According to him, the family is expected to release an official statement regarding her passing and funeral arrangements in due course.
Born on May 28, 1983, Beverly Afaglo rose to prominence as one of Ghana’s respected actresses, known for her vibrant performances and versatility across film and television.
Throughout her career, she starred in several popular Ghanaian productions, including the 2006 movie Return of Beyonce, where she portrayed Doris, Crime to Christ (2007) as Sharon, and Girls Connection (2008), reprising her role as Doris.
Her film portfolio expanded with appearances in Prince’s Bride, Never Again (2010), Turn Me On (2010), The Game (2010), Single Six (2011), Equatorial Escape (2011), and Secret Burden (2012).
Afaglo also featured in other notable productions such as The King’s Bride, Total Exchange, Playboy, Big Girls Club, and CEO, further cementing her place in Ghana’s movie industry.
Outside the screen, she remained an influential figure in Ghana’s entertainment space, admired for her close relationship with fans and her candid approach to sharing aspects of her personal and professional journey.
