The development emerged from the ongoing national collation of the APC presidential primaries results at the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Governors from 31 APC-controlled states, alongside other senior party figures serving as coordinators and collation officers, submitted the direct primary election results to the presidential Primary Election Committee, chaired by former Senate President Pius Anyim.

While the Nigerian leader dominated all the 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, winning 100% votes in most of them, Osifo, on the other hand, put up an impressive performance in a few states like Niger, where he scored 5,248, Kano-2,675, Lagos -1,186, Abia -1,007, Oyo-929, Benue-779, and Nasarawa with 768 votes.

Breakdown of the results of APC Primaries:

  • Lagos – 814,988
  • Adamawa – 644,149
  • Kaduna – 618,914
  • Imo – 582,960
  • Kano – 500,852
  • Katsina – 467,003
  • Gombe – 450,517
  • Borno – 414,988
  • Delta – 407,646
  • Akwa Ibom – 389,197
  • Enugu – 383,382
  • Benue – 374,787
  • Zamfara – 321,579
  • Ogun – 322,485
  • Kwara – 310,990
  • Sokoto – 301,000.
