Governor Fubara has reacted to the rumour suggesting that he has defected to the NDC from the APC.
Philips News reports that Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has cleared the air over his reported defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
Speaking with journalists on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Governor Fubara said he is still a member of the APC, stressing that nothing has changed.
The Rivers Governor called on members of the public to disregard any rumour in the social media suggesting that he has left the APC.
“I know that there has been a lot of drama in the media from one story to the other. People should stop using whatever situation that they pick up from social media or their own interpretation of any situation to present me wrongly.
“I have not gone anywhere. I’m still a member of the Congress, and I remained a member.
“Whatever happens, what is most important is supporting the overwhelming interest of the party,” the governor said.
