INEC has declared APC’s Oyebanji the winner of the Ekiti Governorship Election 2026.
Philips News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
The Ekiti State election 2026 results announced by the State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr Bunmi Omoseyindemi, showed that the APC secured 319,224 votes, defeating its closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which polled 40,543 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third with 12,872 votes.
She further disclosed that 384,940 voters were accredited for the election, while 375,777 valid votes were recorded. According to her, 6,332 votes were rejected, bringing the total votes cast to 382,109.
